Hi, I’m Courageous and I help art collectors who love Black art add beautiful, unique works of art to their homes.
If you desire to adorn your walls with affordable fine art that speaks to your soul, if you long for owning a piece of art that tells a story you can relate to, and if you want to be connected to an artist who is innovative and connected to the Black experience, then I’m here to serve you.
A little bit more about my background…
Born and raised in Detroit, MI, I began my career as a self-taught artist and I taught art in public schools in Detroit and Oakland, CA, for nearly 20 years.
According to many of the collectors I’ve worked with over the years, I’m known for being able to visually articulate a client’s ideas in several different mediums. I have two decades of experience doing commissions for clients. My forte is doing highly-detailed renderings. I’ve shown my work in museums and galleries nationwide, and my work is in the collections of many fine art owners and curators nationwide.
Additionally, my other interests include growing flowers and plants, raising Koi fish and carpentry (I’ve built furniture, television sets and much more).
I’ve also traveled to the Lourve in France to study the works of the masters, and I can sew and I love to cook.
When you want to add another beautiful, unique piece of art in your home, most of what you need is help, instruction and understanding from someone who has “been there and done that!” with affordable, original Black art.
Think of me as your guide through the affordable Black art experience.
